Six twenty
This is the last one
In this series of posts
I promise I’ll stop
But it’s what it denotes
I do what I can for
Me to show
My practice continues
For you to know
You just have to move
Get past the doubt
You just need to start
New is what, today is about
A new moon it is
It reflects no light
It represents newness
Beginnings in sight
Don’t start today
New moons we rest
Try for tomorrow
A day to invest

I wrote this series of posts in part to prove to myself that I could actually do it (getting on the mat this often). I saw the goal, I thought I could do it, but I wasn’t sure. When I started I had no idea I’d be able to practice as often as I did. And at the same time write a poem about it after each practice (except this post – I wrote it yesterday).
My mind is both my obstacle and my gateway.
In a span of eight days I got on my mat for six of those days (one hour each). That’s the first time I’ve done that in a very very long time. My mind chose that to happen and my body followed along (it did complain).
I did it to hopefully inspire you to get moving and get on your mat. And I did it for me to prove that I still can. I needed it more than I thought.
Multiple Sclerosis has been my 28 year partner and lately it’s progressing at a faster pace. Yoga to this very day with all my MS trappings has showed me I can still benefit from my practice.
And at this time of year I do reflect; my life is full of possibilities, positivity, and discoveries. I wish you all the same and the very best for the present and future.
Best wishes for the season.

Bravo, David.
I’m so glad the practice continues to feed you.

I am teaching Basics at the shala most Saturday mornings and Monday evenings if you’re curious.
Take good care of yourself.
